A system for recording historical buildings using multiple unmanned aerial vehiclesCESNET 2017 - 2019
The aim of this multidisciplinary project is built on the success, and media monitored project http://mrs.felk.cvut.cz/ CESNET 2015 - 2017The aim of the project is to develop a multi-robot system of unmanned helicopters equipped for the task of 3D scanning and modelling of historical monuments, which is a perspective direction of development of methods for their documentation (indoor and outdoor). Beside the classical photo documentation, the main output of the proposed system will be a point cloud and consequently a 3D model of historical architecture, presented together with interior and texture. During such a documentation of often monumental buildings, a big amount of data is generated, which needs to be transferred from the place of scanning and further make accessible for processing by detached specialized workplaces. The aim of the project is to create a mobile system that enables to work with more helicopters simultaneously. Within the project, a SW for speedup the data transfer via onboard data post-processing will be designed and implemented. A technical output of the project will be creation of a complex system of helicopters equipped by sensors and an infrastructure for their operation (fast wifi net, mobile power station, mobile data storage, etc |
